Aloha

Just back from a week in Hawaii with Becca, Brian, and Kai. Wonderful weather and unbelievable scenery in Kauai. Not that restful traveling with a 2-year-old, but loads of fun and wonder at what they think and do.

Anxiety is rising as I wait for all my tests next week. I meet with the oncologist on Thursday to plan the next steps. Will keep everyone apprised.

I feel amazingly healthy but have new subcutaneous tumors and the existing ones are growing which leads to worry. However, spending each morning meditating and watching the sunrise on the beach certainly helped give me perspective.

Check here again on Friday to see what is next for me.

Anyone have an Ark??

We have had a LOT of rain in Oregon this weekend!! Wild weather everywhere!! I drove over to the coast through a lot of water on and over the road to spend the day with my grandson. I want to spend as much time with my grandchildren as I can while I still have the energy to really play with them. We had a lovely day playing blocks, trucks and reading. I have the nasty feeling that my melanoma cells are turning into overdrive as new lesions are showing up. If there are subcutaneous ones that I can feel growing, I can only hope that my immune system are keeping them out of internal areas. Keep those healing thoughts coming my way...

2011---Here I come!!

As you have figured out by now, no news from me on the blog is good news. I am enjoying feeling really strong and healthy (in spite of the new and existing tumors) and am enjoying time with friends and family. Too cold for golf but am playing pickleball and bridge as often as possible.

I am doing a lot of meditating, especially using the imaging and mantra of the Medicine Buddha. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhaisajyaguru).
